More than 150 years ago, in the green hills near Matera, Basilicata, our story began. A land of over 15 hectares, passed down from generation to generation, from father to son, witnessed the birth of our interest and passion for organic farming and truffles.

1995

A Commitment to Organic and Sustainable Practices

For thirty years, we have embarked on an eco-sustainable journey, producing with certified organic methods, ancient grains such as Khorasan wheat, Eastern wheat, black chickpeas, extra virgin olive oil, but the real protagonist is the truffle, which grows spontaneously in our own woodland, certified with organic methods.

The Passion for Truffle Hunting

About twenty years ago, Antonio, armed with his license and accompanied by his faithful dog Mety, began to immerse himself in this fascinating world. Today, we are proud to have gained extensive experience in the world of truffles, and we are happy to share it with you.

2010

The Return to Roots: The Birth of Allegretti Farm

Antonio Allegretti, after years of varied experiences in Milan and abroad, returned to Grottole, his hometown, to rediscover and enhance his roots. Thus, Allegretti farm was born, a leap towards a sustainable and organic future.

The Truffle of Life

The turning point came with the discovery of a record-breaking prized white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico). Weighing over 660 grams, it marked a milestone in our history, even making headlines in the national news.
